Siop Shop – Review

The Siop Shop is one of the latest additions to the city centre and I am. Here. For. It.

After finding their Instagram & following the journey of opening their own space and setting up their unique little café, I knew it wouldn’t be long before I had a look for myself!

The café is simple, modern and unique. They value substance and great quality food & service over styling. Even though they still manage to pull off a very stylish vibe.

The seating has a communal vibe, a lot like many other new places around the city centre.

But my main attraction to this place, for me, has to be the doughnut’s. They are made fresh every day & all the ingredients are crafty by the team at the Siop Shop. At first I was torn between a classic raspberry or the lemon meringue, but while I was choosing, a fresh batch of Crème Brûlée doughnut’s appeared & there was only one option.

The crunchy sugar topping, with a vanilla bean custard / crème pat filling, is easily one of the best things I’ve tasted in a very long time! (Although I haven’t been able to stop thinking about all the other options)

I will definitely be heading back to the Siop Shop soon, not just for the doughnuts, but they have fresh & tasty sandwiches on offer too. Using locally baked bread from Pollen & I know I need to try them!

So, next time your in town & fancy a sweet treat or need a spot to relax and enjoy a decent coffee, then this has to be your next stop!
