Through all the snow, rain, ice & hail that cane with last month, there was actually a few moments of loveliness! I hope you had a lovely February & enjoyed your Galentines / Valentines day. This month has been full of new & exciting things for me & my little blog. I have lots of great content & posts ready for the next couple of months, that I cant wait to share it with you. I’ve got some lovely recipe posts, outfit posts, Manchester restaurant reviews & more!
This month I have enjoyed some great food, TV & Beauty products that I would 100% recommend. unfortunately, I have also had a complete fail this month! Let me know in the comments what your favourites have been this month!
& other stories
For a while, my boyfriend kept telling me to have a look in the Manchester & other stories store. I’d never really shopped there before, but he kept going on about it. Telling me, he knows I would love it. Eventually, I gave in & reluctantly had a look around. He was absolutely right & I am now obsessed.
From their jewellery to their candles, I literally want it all! My most recent purchase is this sweatshirt. Throughout February, I’ve worn it as much as I can get away with!
If you haven’t seen any of the new series of Queer Eye on Netflix, you are missing out. I know this might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But if you love a good old makeover show, you will love this! Every episode has made me cry like a baby. The people they help are well deserving & let’s face it, who doesn’t love 5 men who know how to take care of themselves!
If you need some new guilty TV, to binge watch, then give it a go!
Glossier primer moisturiser
As part of my quest to learn what works on my adult / hormone ridden skin. I bought some of the highly rated Glossier. This moisturiser, in particular, has become a part of my daily routine & is definitely one of the best that I’ve used for a while!
I have a full new post on the way, explaining my experience in using a few different glossier products. But this one is definitely worth a purchase!
Urban Outfitters boobie bedding.
Ok, so this might not be everyone’s taste. But this bedding has brought a little bit of humour to my gloomy February. Not only was it in the sale, it’s actually great quality too! As a lover of the whole #freethenipple movement, I knew I had to have it. No surprise, my boyfriend loved it too! (I didn’t manage to get a picture of the bed, while it was on, but it made the perfect background for my Glossier products post!)
For about a year, I have looked forward to receiving my Birchbox every month. However, over the past couple of months, I’ve found there is probably one good item & the rest are ‘fillers’.
A lot of what I’ve received recently, is either not for my skin type or is just a bit rubbish. It kind of feels like your getting the cast off’s from last years beauty bin.
The last straw, was a barbie pink lip balm, that I got in my February box. It is waxy, unflattering & 100% not me. It might be perfect for someone else, but as the Birchbox is meant to be tailored to my personal style, ( you fill in a questionnaire about your style / ideal makeup looks & skin types) they should know that ‘barbie pink’ is not me.
I’ll give them another month, but if it doesn’t improve, I’m definitely going to have to cancel my subscription. If anyone has any suggestions of new/different beauty subscriptions that I can try instead, let me know in the comments!
