What’s on Manchester?

Believe it or not 2017 is over and its time to accept that 2018 is here! A whole new year is in front of us, in case you haven’t made any plans yet for 2018, I’ve picked some of the best of what’s coming to Manchester for 2018!

I’ve included all the links, so you can book tickets easily or have a look online at some of the events. Enjoy!

Beer & Cider Fest – January


For the Beer or cider lover in your life, this event is well worth a look! Most people will know that Manchester is regarding highly for its local ales & beer. So on the 24th – 27th of January, in St Peters Square, you can try a range of over 700!


Cheese Festival – February


This is probably one of my favourite events that I have come across for 2018. what more do I need to say? Its a Festival of CHEESE!


Tattoo Tea Party – March


If you’re a tattoo lover, or just appreciate the art form. Then this event is for you. On the 3rd & 4th of March you can go to this Tattoo convention which shows the best of the best, with carnival games, body painting & more.


Vegan Festival – April


If you are Vegan, or just on a plant based diet, this would be the perfect place for you! The stalls are everything from food, toiletries to yoga. With plenty more on offer. The entry fee is also donated in full to animal welfare charities.


Beyond Borders exhibition – May – June


At the Whitworth Gallery this spring is an exhibition of different textile artists, with varied cultural backgrounds, showing their own styles. If this exhibition isn’t for you, the Whitworths other events, festivals and exhibitions are definitely worth a look


Roy Lichtenstein In Focus Exhibition – Until June


This one isn’t actually in Manchester, but as Liverpool isn’t too far away, this one is well worth a trip! At the artists rooms in the Tate Gallery this, this pop art exhibition is worth a look!


Festival of Happiness – June


This might not be for everyone, but if you want to take part in a Festival of Happiness this year, then you definitely can! A meeting of like minded people, to encourage positive and happy thinking.


Manchester Eats Food Fest – Summer


This has been creating a bit of a buzz around Manchester over the last few weeks. A new kind of food festival is coming to Heaton Park this year. A huge street food festival, will be in the middle of Heaton Park this summer. (This is definitely going in my diary!)


Gay Wedding Show – September


Getting bigger every year, this show is definitely worth a look if your planning your own wedding or helping plan someone elses!


Gauntlet Games – September


If you like getting muddy, wet & running around, or think you could take on a real obstacle course, then the Gauntlet Games is for you. At Heaton Park this September, you can slip, slide and run your way through this huge obstacle course for adults.
