Grand Pacific

It is the season to celebrate, overindulge & be merry! So, when I was trying to think of somewhere in Manchester that embraces all these qualities, one place stood out. The Grand Pacific.

This stunning restaurant & bar, tucked away in between King Street & Market Street, might just be the perfect place to celebrate the holiday season in style.

I first came to the Grand Pacific to celebrate my mums 50th Birthday. We tried their Prosecco Hight Tea & was completely blown away. Not only is the food amazing, the building is breathtaking & the service was second to none.

When it comes to my food, I am a lover of street food,  dive bars & anything straight to the point. But let’s face it, every now & then, who doesn’t love a bit of glitz. If you can’t over indulge & be fancy over the holiday season, when can you?

Their prosecco high tea offers two courses of savoury & sweet, tea/coffee & of course prosecco.

The menu may vary, we enjoyed the savoury selection of crumpet with crab butter, smoked salmon potato cake, coronation chicken & egg salad finger sandwich’s, tuna & salmon tartare, Eccles cake with Lancashire cheese & a goats cheese arancini.

All the seafood tasted amazingly fresh & each little dish was delicious! (Who can’t love food served on a golden pineapple)

For our sweet course, we tried the raspberry Cake lollipop, strawberry Meringue, dark chocolate truffle, mini lemon tart, Jasmine tea fruit cake, passion fruit brûlée, sesame seed twill & a Grand Pacific trifle.

Although I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, every single dessert on this course was delicious! The pictures probably don’t do them justice!

So, if you need somewhere festive for your holiday cocktails, work celebration or even family meal, then I’d definitely book your table quickly! Whether you want to extend the Christmas feeling, or fancy somewhere glitzy to celebrate New Year, then the Grand Pacific is where you should be!
