A cheats guide to Christmas gifts!

One of my favourite things about Christmas is finding gifts for my friends & family! I know that most people would probably say this is the worst part about Christmas, but I’ve always found buying presents quite easy. (My ideal job would definitely be a personal gift buyer). I always try to plan presents that are both thoughtful & seem expensive, even though I’m always working on a budget.

So, I thought I would share my 6 ‘go-to’ stores, which always help me complete all my Christmas shopping! I’ve included links to all who have online shopping pages & if your local, I’ve included all the locations around Manchester city centre!

The White Company  – King Street

If you have someone in your life who appreciates quality above everything else, this is the shop for them.

From clothing to interior decor, The White Company is especially great at Christmas.

If your on a budget, stick to the candles & smellies. For £30-£40 you can pick up a couple of items, which anyone who loves finer things would appreciate! Add a bottle of wine or their favourite chocolates & you have ticked them off your list.

Oklahoma– High Street

This is the shop for that friend or family member who has a unique/modern sense of style & humour.

From hand crafted jewellery, ceramics & candles. To neon lighting, David Bowie baubles & 1950’s style robots, Oaklahoma offers them all.

Oliver Bonas – St Marys Gate

If you have seen my posts over that past year, you will know that this place is one of my favourites!

With a modern design aesthetic & simple style interiors, clothing & beauty products, this is the perfect place for those who love current trends.

You can easily pick up a cute vase, Korean face mask & photo frame for around £35.  If you want to splash out on a bit more, the artwork, books & homeware are definitely worth a look!

Ok, this one isn’t a shop. But every year, I will get at least 5 gifts from this website! This is the perfect place to look for a gift, for the person who has everything.

Not on the high street is similar to Etsy, except all the sellers, are of a very high standard. One of the reasons I love the site, is because of how easy it is to use! You can refine your searches by the type of person your buying for & the price you want to spend! Best of all, most gifts can be personalised, so it’s perfect for sentimental family members or partners too!

Afflecks Palace – Church Street

This is the perfect destination for anyone in your life who likes to go against the crowds.

Vintage clothing, artwork, music memorabilia, tattoos American food & harijuku costumes. Afflecks is an icon of Manchester & with its 4 floors of shops, you’ll definitely find something here for a vintage loving goth, a sportswear enthusiast or art loving rebel.

Boots – Market Street

Let’s face it, everyone loves a good Boots gift set for Christmas.

With the home, food, candles, make up & smellies ranges all being 3 for 2, this place is a must at Christmas! It’s perfect for grabbing everyone a little gift or even secret santa!

Hopefully I have given you some inspiration from my favourite places to shop for gifts, happy shopping! x
