Evelyn’s Café – The Review

If you’re from Manchester, you may have walked past Evelyn’s Café and bar without even realising it. From the outside, you may not even realise what is inside.

For those who are Instagram obsessives, like me, you probably already know Evelyn’s. Its stunning interior is a regular on most mancunian blogs. But you don’t often see much about the food they serve.

My boyfriend and I recently stopped by for breakfast and it was amazing!Next time you’re looking for somewhere modern, relaxed & tasty for breakfast or brunch, then make sure you head to Evelyn’s.

We booked a table online beforehand, as most places in the Northern Quarter are small & busy every weekend. As it was Pride weekend, I knew it would be even busier than usual!

As I’m really trying to eat a bit healthier at the minute, (city break to Barcelona in September is on my mind) I decided to have the porridge with chia seeds & summer berries. This was honestly so tasty! The porridge is really light & the summer berries compote was sweet & fresh.

I know that most people would prefer bacon & eggs, but sometimes its nice to eat healthy meals which I probably wouldn’t bother to prepare myself at home. Manchester has great options when it comes to healthy alternatives & Evelyn’s is definitely one of them!

My boyfriend decided on a Korean chicken roll with egg & chilli. Which I was assured, on numerous occasions, was delicious too!

The great thing about their menu, is that its small but offers a loads of choices! Whether your vegan, eating healthy or just want a greasy American breakfast, you can probably find it at Evelyn’s.

Finally, not only does this place serve great food. It has to be one of the prettiest places to eat in the Northern Quarter! So, do yourself a favour and book a table! 🙂 x
